Our founder, Antonella.
Antonella is a graduate of Columbia University and holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics. She began her yoga practice in 2012 and is a Nationally ranked yoga champion certified in the original hot yoga series. She credits her mother, who is also a certified yoga instructor, for introducing her to the practice and they often enjoy taking class together. Antonella is thrilled to share her love of yoga and her gratitude for this practice with you.
Georgia Balligian
Georgia has been practicing this yoga for 53 years and teaching for 26 years. She was one of Bikram’s first students when he arrived in Honolulu to teach in 1971. She received her official certification to teach in 1997.
Rajashree
Rajashree began her yoga practice when she was four years old, and became a five-time winner of the National Indian Yoga Championship from 1979 to 1983, winning several titles by age 11. She is inspired by her personal teachers, P. S. Das and Kushala Das, as well as B. K. S. lyengar and Paramahansa Yogananda. Rajashree has a degree in yoga therapy and is certified with the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She leads worldwide seminars, workshops, and yoga retreats on personal development. Rajashree is also author of the highly acclaimed Rajashree's Pregnancy Yoga.
Mary Ann Nassa
Considered the pioneer of Bikram Yoga in the Northeast United States, she opened the second studio outside of Los Angeles in 1985. Mary Ann has been practicing Bikram Yoga since 1984 and is master certified under the exclusive tutelages of Bikram and Rajashree Choudhury, Emmy Cleaves and Jimmy Barkan, bringing more than 40 years of practical and teaching experience in the Bikram Method. Subsequent to heart surgery in 1973, Mary Ann was introduced to the Bikram Method that enabled her to recover from the physical disabilities caused by her heart defect and corrective surgery, as well as maintain wellness. Mary Ann has taught several professional athletes, has been featured in the Providence Journal Health Section, and on several occasions has appeared on the news on Channel 6 and PBS, Channel 36 (Healthcare Directions) in Providence, Rhode Island.
